Quick Start

Set Base URL and API key, then click Load All OBS Data.
Select a dataset row to fill dataset_id automatically.
Review spin, pulse, physics, and geometry fields.
Run Full Calculation to create plots and metrics.
Use Observer Simulation for lightweight playback or WebM recording.

Connection Settings

Base URL should match server host and protocol (HTTPS recommended).
API key is required for every catalog and run request.
Load catalog first so dataset selection is easier and less error-prone.

Dataset Selection

Click an OBS catalog row to auto-fill dataset_id.
You can paste dataset_id manually if you already know it.
Full calculation and simulation fetches both require a valid dataset_id.

Spin Axis Modes

The form keeps k0 and RA/Dec synchronized in both directions.

RA/Dec to k uses: kx = cos(dec)*cos(ra), ky = cos(dec)*sin(ra), kz = sin(dec)
Switching k_mode updates the other representation automatically.
Observer simulation always runs from k input (k0 form).

Pulse Settings

npp controls how many pulses are modeled in the run window.
dt_pulse sets pulse spacing in seconds.
fwhm_ps sets pulse width in picoseconds.

Physics Settings

n_refr controls refractive factor used by propagation model.
two_way_mode selects symmetric or asymmetric two-way path handling.

Detection Threshold

intensity_limit filters weak returns from detectable subsets.
Higher values are stricter and may hide more CCR points in payload and plots.

Geometry Rules

r_b and norm_b must have the same row count.
Each row must be three comma-separated numbers.
Invalid lines are highlighted with line numbers.

Geometry Preview

Shows CCR vectors transformed by current spin and geometry inputs.
Rotation phase slider is visualization-only and does not edit source geometry.
Use preview to quickly sanity-check orientation before full run.

Full LRR Calculation

Computes incidence-angle evolution and distance residual behavior over time.
Produces summary metrics, plot payload, and downloadable run artifacts.
Progress bar reflects real backend stages from setup through payload finalize.
For this UI path, optional simulation payload is skipped to keep PNG-focused runs fast.

How to Read Returned PNGs

`lrr_ccr_incidence_residual_0X.png`: per-CCR incidence (left) and distance residual (right) vs time.
`lrr_ccr_residual_scatter.png`: combined residual view to compare CCR clusters across time.
Use these plots to spot stable signatures, overlap, outliers, and weak-return intervals.

Download Run Files

Use Download Run Files after a successful run to export analysis artifacts.
Bundle includes request JSON, OBS data, CCR CSV series, and scatter CSV.
Use these files for offline review or sharing with collaborators.

Observer Simulation

Play fetches lightweight track data from /lrr-simulation-track.
dt (s) controls track sampling via time_resolution_s.
Periods limits both playback and recording range.
Without a fetched track, simulation panel shows phase 0 geometry.

Troubleshooting

If HTTPS is self-signed, open server URL once and accept certificate warning.
If simulation does not refresh, verify geometry validity and dataset selection.
If you changed client code, hard refresh the browser.
